Training Kurdish MP's

International trainer Rommert Kruithof started on Sunday November 25, 2012 on the second week of media training for the Kurdistan Parliament. Because of a national holiday, the first session of the week with three members of parliament took place outside the parliament, in the Safeer Hotel in Erbil.


Kruithof is joined in the second week by international trainer Maria Frauenrath. Both are experienced trainers on the subject with politicians and CEO's all over the world. They are assisted by local trainers; Kurdish presenters of TV-stations in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The first part of IMCK workshop on Knowledge Awareness of Oil and Gas finishes in Kalar Ali Ghazi from Nature Iraq explains how oil and gas impact on the environment and IMCK journalism trainer Khaled Suleiman helps the journalists develop story ideas.   Part 2 of the workshop is in Sulaymaniya in December.  Experts on  oil and gas will give information to help journalists become more specialized on the topic.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
