Lecture for media staff

IMCK director and senior trainer Judit Neurink offered staff of media offices of different departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sulaymaniya a two hour lecture on basic journalism. About twenty people were present in the language training room of the Residency office in Sulaymaniya.


The lecture on Ocotber 26, 2011 was part of a training on working with media organised by Radio Nawxo in Sulaymaniya.

The first part of IMCK workshop on Knowledge Awareness of Oil and Gas finishes in Kalar Ali Ghazi from Nature Iraq explains how oil and gas impact on the environment and IMCK journalism trainer Khaled Suleiman helps the journalists develop story ideas.   Part 2 of the workshop is in Sulaymaniya in December.  Experts on  oil and gas will give information to help journalists become more specialized on the topic.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
