On the job at Bas newspaper


IMCK trainers Khidher Domle and Ako Mohammed started on August 2, 2011 on a 3 day, on the job training at the offices of Bas newspaper in Erbil.

Bas is a small newspaper published in Kurdish and Arabic, focusing on business news and reporting.

The training will focus on news, leads and headlines, design, target groups and reporting for the reader.

On-the-job trainings is very essential as it prepares an individual to the actual work that he/she has undergone. There are also online continuing education and certification courses that can be helpful in an individuals' on the job training.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
