Editing at Kurdsat TV

After David van der Pluijm and Paul van Stigt finished their training at Media bo Khalq they went to Sulaymania to improve the skills of the editors of Kurdsat TV.

The trainers will be at the television station and will teach the participants on the job. This means they will make little use of classical sessions, but there will be occasional meetings on different subjects with the people who are involved. They started their 5-day training on December 12.

The first part of IMCK workshop on Knowledge Awareness of Oil and Gas finishes in Kalar Ali Ghazi from Nature Iraq explains how oil and gas impact on the environment and IMCK journalism trainer Khaled Suleiman helps the journalists develop story ideas.   Part 2 of the workshop is in Sulaymaniya in December.  Experts on  oil and gas will give information to help journalists become more specialized on the topic.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
