TV news for Media bo Khalq

The TV-group of IMCK's post graduate training Media bo Khalq/Media for People started a training on TV news. Dutch TV-maker Karin Greep started with the group on Monday 28 September 2009, together with lead trainer Xdir Domle.


Greep will teach them what news is, how to find it and how to report it. Her four day training will end in making newsitems by all members of the group. The training is taking place in the traininghall for TV of Media bo Khalq in Irbil.


Karin Greep has been working in journalism for almost 25 years, first radio and the past 7 years in TV news programs on Dutch TV.

The first part of IMCK workshop on Knowledge Awareness of Oil and Gas finishes in Kalar Ali Ghazi from Nature Iraq explains how oil and gas impact on the environment and IMCK journalism trainer Khaled Suleiman helps the journalists develop story ideas.   Part 2 of the workshop is in Sulaymaniya in December.  Experts on  oil and gas will give information to help journalists become more specialized on the topic.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
