Media bo Khalk
Course
In 2009, IMCK started its first postgraduate course, Media bo Khalk (Media for People), for students from the whole of Iraq. Media bo Khalk offers students the opportunity to work with and learn from international experts from different countries, and develop their journalistic skill to the full.
The course is a co-operation between the Independent Media Centre in Kurdistan and the University College of Falmouth.
2011-2012
On Sunday 13, 2011 the third edition of Media bo Khalk was opened officially in Erbil. The Dutch Ambassador to Iraq Jeroen Roodenburg opened the course together with two former students of earlier editions of Media bo Khalk.
